Dr. Nafees has over 23 years of work experience. He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Pioneer Dental College, Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Dhaka in 2001. He later completed his Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan, in the Department of Maxillofacial Prosthetics in 2010. He worked as a Lecturer & Clinical Staff in the Department of Conservative Dentistry of University Dental College, Dhaka from July 2002 to March 2004. Following that, he worked as a Foreign Researcher from April 2004 to September 2004, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Showa University, Tokyo, Japan, and from October 2004 to November 2004, Kagoshima University, Kagoshima, Japan, and from December 2004 to March 2005 in Maxillofacial Prosthetics Department of Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Tokyo, Japan. Starting from October 2010, he was the Head & Assistant Professor of Science of the Dental Materials Department in Marks Dental College, Dhaka. He also worked at Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Dental Unit as the Head & Assistant Professor of Science of Dental Materials from January 2013 to July 2014 and later as the Head & Associate Professor from July 2014 to April 2019. Simultaneously, from November 2015 until April 2019 he worked as the Chief of Dental Unit (Unit Head) & Associate Professor there. He then moved to Sylhet Central Dental College as the Chairman & Professor & of Science of Dental Materials and worked there until September 2019. Starting in November 2019, he is working as a Professor of Prosthetics at Mandy Dental College, Dhaka. He also has various publications under his name.
